Steve Light TV Story Time
55Who is Steve Light?
Steve Light is a gifted illustrator and teacher who tells fairy tales and fables to small groups of children. His presentations are really quite engaging, and the children always seem mesmerized during the stories. He has published five books, and has a very unique "Storybox" that he creates for a visual presentation of his tales. He tells stories and fables from folk culture around the world. A pretty interesting guy. I have a two minute video animation and song that he and his friend Brady Rymer wrote. Brady is also a very talented guy. His children's music is really fun.

As an art teacher for 3-6 year olds, encourage my children to examine the art of respected artists as the children pursue their own creative endeavors As they look at the work of Paul Klee, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Henry Matisse and Keith Haring, among others, or perhaps a piece of folk art, I ask them to think about the process that went into the art. Then the children and I work together to create something that draws upon the past. Like the children that I teach, I take a celebrated art form as my inspiration, and add my favorite childhood story.
